Position Overview

The Senior Tax Accountant will oversee corporate tax compliance, regulatory filings, and governance related financial reporting while helping establish repeatable processes and documentation standards. This role serves as a stabilizing force within the Finance function, ensuring obligations are met accurately and proactively while supporting broader financial initiatives.

You will work directly with leadership, external advisors, and internal accounting staff to ensure consistency, compliance, and forward looking tax strategy.

Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance and Reporting
  • Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate corporate income tax filings, sales and use tax reporting, and other regulatory submissions
  • Serve as primary liaison with external tax advisors and accounting firms
  • Ensure timely completion of tax calendars, deadlines, and supporting documentation
Regulatory and Corporate Governance Support
  • Maintain business registrations, licenses, and corporate compliance filings
  • Oversee regulatory reporting requirements tied to operational expansion
  • Provide documentation support during audits, diligence reviews, or financial transactions
Financial Infrastructure and Process Development
  • Develop and document repeatable tax processes and internal SOPs
  • Improve documentation consistency across accounting workflows
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend process improvements
  • Support Finance leadership in strengthening internal controls
Strategic Collaboration
  • Partner with CFO, Controller, and leadership on tax planning considerations
  • Provide insight into financial implications of business decisions
  • Support cross functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, Legal, and HR
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 5 or more years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of multi state tax compliance and reporting
  • Experience working with external accounting firms or consultants
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes and improve structure
Preferred Experience
  • CPA certification or active pursuit preferred
  • Experience in a high growth or evolving organization
  • Familiarity with technology, manufacturing, or distribution industries
  • Experience supporting audits, diligence processes, or financial transactions
