Hey there!

My name is Matt Vaadi. I run multiple businesses out of Irmo, SC. Each one is growing. Each one has its own rhythm, its own clients, its own to-do list.

And that to-do list is where I need help.

Here's what's actually happening: I'll be on a call, talking through a strategy, and by the end of that call there are four things that need to happen. Some of them are small. Some of them require following up with a vendor, drafting a response, sending an invoice, coordinating a meeting. None of them requires me; they just require someone sharp who I trust to handle them the way I would.

That's the gap.

I'm looking for someone to work with me part-time (roughly 15 to 25 hours a week). Two days a week you'd be in the office with me in Irmo, probably 4 to 6 hours those days depending on what's on the calendar. The rest of the time is flexible. Some of it you'll do from home, from your car, from wherever you are.

And yes — there will be times I shoot you a message and need something done relatively quickly. I want to be upfront about what that looks like. I'm not going to text you at your kid's baseball game and expect you to drop everything. I'm not that guy. But there are moments where responsiveness matters, and the right person for this role will get that without me having to explain it every time.

Here's some of what you'd actually be doing:

Helping me stay on top of open loops across multiple companies. Drafting emails and following up on threads that have sat too long. Coordinating with vendors, partners, and clients. Helping execute salesx and marketing campaigns; pulling lists, managing timelines, making sure deliverables actually get out the door. Creating moments at The Cage Project that make members and families feel like they matter. Keeping me accountable to my own priorities.

Some days this looks like traditional admin work. Some days it looks like creative problem-solving. Some days it looks like you sitting across from me, helping me think out loud, and then going to make things happen.

One non-negotiable thing: you need to be comfortable using AI tools as part of how you work. Not occasionally — regularly. I use AI to think, write, research, and execute faster than most teams twice our size. I need someone who's already wired that way or is actively building that skill. If you've never opened ChatGPT or Claude, this probably isn't the right fit. We are a very tech-heavy environment. You need to be able to learn and adapt to many, many different software systems quickly.

The pay is $28 an hour to start. If you're great — and I'll know quickly — that number moves.

What I'm not looking for: someone who needs a detailed task list handed to them every morning. Someone who gets flustered when priorities shift. Someone who sees five businesses and thinks that sounds overwhelming.

What I am looking for:

• Someone who sees this post and thinks that sounds interesting.
• Someone who has done real operational or admin work before and knows how to figure things out.
• Someone who wants part-time hours for a real reason (kids, a side business, flexibility) and will bring that same intentionality to this role.
• Someone who takes pride in getting things done right, even the small stuff.
