Objective/Purpose- Brief Synopsis – ND3 Inc. seeks a Cloud Storage/CommVault Backup systems engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in developing, configuring, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying, and supporting Cloud Storage and CommVault backup and recovery (COOP) operations. The engineer will provide technical support for a large-scale federal government enterprise’s environment.

Background - The Executive Office for United States Attorneys' (EOUSA) is responsible for providing administrative, technical and operation support to all 94 United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) located in over 252 geographically dispersed sites throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Guam, the Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The EOUSA General Integration (GI), Network Operations and Services (NOS), Enterprise Application Development (EAD) and Cyber Services Staff (CSS) provide for the identification and analysis of the business needs/requirements to USAOs necessary for the design, development, and deployment of secure office automation, wide and local area networking, case management and other applications. All four of these staffs must rely, however, on contractors to deliver many of the high-level technical services needed to maintain the technology deployed in EOUSA and USAOs.

Minimum Candidate Requirements

· 6 years’ experience in the following areas relating to technical and security best practices, engineering design and operational support for each technology: commercial and hybrid cloud-based storage, SAN switching and infrastructure, storage-as-a-service, and cloud-based virtualization.

Security Requirements

· Must be able to obtain up to Top Secret clearance (Can start with Interim Secret Clearance)

Scope of Work and Requirements

· Knowledge of Linux kernel; Windows Server administration; Understanding of File and Folder Permissions in Windows; Experience in synchronization concepts as related specifically to data management; Knowledge of multi-site storage methods and synchronization; Knowledge of Cloud Object Storage.

· Internal Storage Admin: Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain Internal storage solution for the HUB and Districts

· Develop, configure, integrate and secure complex backup, recovery and storage products over wide area network (WAN) in a multi-enterprise, complex, geographically dispersed solution, ranging from single servers to multi-tier, multi-platform solutions utilizing the Commvault enterprise backup solutions.

· Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems to include networking, application, hardware, and appliance related backup issues.

· Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning and reporting within the Commvault management and monitoring solution.

· Implement regular security updates and patches to related backup application servers and appliances in accordance with Federal Information and Information Systems requirements.

· Work with operation teams to develop and support enterprise infrastructure processes, tools, and environments to ensure a timely response to backup, restore, and data replication requests.

· Possess a strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application.

· Knowledge of other technologies a plus (LAN, WAN, Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, SQL database).

· Experience with DISA STIGs and applying to Commvault related systems.

· Performs security related tasks which include documentation, vulnerability scan review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing as required.

• Provide onsite troubleshooting support within local datacenters in the Richardson, TX area.

Place of Performance – Richardson, Texas and surrounding area.

Equipment furnished - The government/client will provide equipment to complete job.

Security Requirements -All personnel, including the support required by this initiative, must be United States Citizens, and must meet the DOJ Residency Requirement. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to assure that proposed employees for each aspect of this task have met federal investigative standards and are suitable for employment and/or access to national security information. Certification of requirements from either the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) or the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) will be required. The minimum investigation required is to be cleared for a BI and can be expected to hold up to a Top-Secret clearance. The minimum investigation required is to be cleared to hold Secret clearance. Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
