The Enterprise IT Client Solutions Partner role is a pivotal one in revenue and profit growth, developing and maintaining the overarching IT strategy and delivery, building client and executive stakeholder relationships, and instituting architectural frameworks and governance within an enterprise organization.
This position demands a commercial focus and strategic approach, aligning technology initiatives with enterprise business goals to drive revenue growth and client retention, innovation, operational efficiency, framework usage, external market perspective, and a competitive edge.
This role will be dedicated to a major enterprise client and is planned to be the primary point of contact for Enterprise Technology in the mid-market and enterprise arm of VC3 client offerings. It will also primarily be responsible for the development and governance of standards in an enterprise environment.
The incumbent will provide strong leadership, strategic vision, accountability to results, meticulous attention to detail and management oversight to other teams and individual contributors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning – Formulate and sustain an IT strategy that is in harmony with business objectives. Assess and propose long-term technology solutions conducive to the enterprise organization’s vision. Actively participate in and contribute to the success and advancement of the organization’s IT strategic plan. Develop and execute the multi-year strategy and business plan. Bring creative ideas and new value propositions to C-level executives and build the reputation of being a trusted advisor at this level.
  • Architecture Design – Craft and execute enterprise architecture frameworks, ensuring scalability, reliability and security. Lead the creation of an integrated IT architecture spanning applications, data and infrastructure. Collaborate with other key IT stakeholders to ensure cohesive processes and systems for optimal functionality. Build a nuanced understanding of the customer’s environment and pain points.
  • Client Ownership – Serving as the main “face” of the organization, manage and nurture the client relationship, positioning VC3 for increased growth and strengthening the relationship; specifically with the C-suite of client leaders. Drive the P&L, with a significant focus on commercial growth, portfolio expansion, penetrating new buying centers, and maintaining a profitable business. Build trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders that result in strong NPS and CSAT scores.
  • Governance and Compliance – Establish and manage governance structures for IT and enterprise architecture compliance, aligning IT investments with enterprise standards.
  • Business IT Alignment – Collaborate closely with business leaders to comprehend their requirements and convert them into technology solutions. Enhance communication between IT and other departments for effective collaboration. Drive operationally sound account plans that emphasizes growth, customer centricity, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Innovation and Improvement – Spearhead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to refine business processes and performance. Promote continuous advancement in IT maintenance, deployment and support landscapes.
  • Risk Management – Identify and mitigate risks linked to IT assets and services, ensuring effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Leadership and Team Management – Lead and mentor a team of technology architects and IT professionals (support, deployment, and administration), cultivating an environment of innovation, collaboration and client experience.
  • Technology Trends: Regularly evaluate and report on emerging technology trends and their potential impact on the business, recommending actionable strategies for adoption or innovation.
  • Performance Evaluation Metrics: Implement a comprehensive set of IT performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of technology investments and initiatives in supporting business objectives.
  • Professional Development Programs: Develop and implement a professional development program for technical team members focused on upskilling in areas critical to the organization's technology roadmap, such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across all VC3 departments to maximize overall client satisfaction.
  • Actively participate as a member of the Operational Leadership team.
  • Maintain an awareness of market trends, competition and emerging enterprise customer needs.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and training strategies are in place to facilitate the adoption of Develop and maintain accurate and up to date documentation through the change management processes for the enterprise sector.
  • Ensure quality administrative results from your team of managers and individual contributors. For example, real-time time entry, timely submission of timesheets and expenses, frequent and business appropriate client communications, and overall professionalism.
  • Be a leader within the region; attending staff events, participating in meetings, encouraging positive morale, and holding all employees accountable. Set the example to follow for client experience.
  • Carry out Quarterly Planning Sessions (QPS) for the VC3 Enterprise technology team. Plan and deliver the most important quarterly initiatives in alignment with the company vision and the direction of the senior leadership team.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical experience in enterprise environments, with a strong track record in enterprise architecture and IT Strategy.
  • 10+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Advanced certifications such as Certified Cisco Internetwork Expert (CCIE), VCP-DCV, MCSE, AWS Architect – Professional and others relevant to enterprise architecture and IT Strategy.
  • Proficient in enterprise architecture, frameworks and IT governance policies and procedures.
  • Significant experience in Change Management protocols and processes
  • Knowledge in developing and implementing technology strategies that align with business goals.
  • Experience in scaling from SMB to enterprise in a rapidly scaling organization
  • Exceptional leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • ERP implementation experience a plus.
  • Previous experience with Innovation Process Management for an enterprise organization.
  • Ability to present complex or highly technical issues in simple and easy-to-understand formats.
  • Polished written and verbal communicator with persuasive influencing skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence decisions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skills in leading digital transformation and innovation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Experience in managing technology teams, fostering a culture of excellence and promoting professional growth.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Expertise in establishing risk management protocols and ensuring compliance with technology regulations.
  • Prior experience in the insurance sector, or working closely with insurance clients, is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and resources to maximize return on investment for technology initiatives.

  • The candidate will be able to sit remotely but must be able to travel throughout Canada and US (less than 50%).
